Miller not emotional about facing his childhood team; Penguins finally able to dress six defensemen

Right wing J.T. Miller, 22, grew up in East Palestine, Ohio but played youth hockey in Pittsburgh before leaving to join the U.S. National Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich. in 2009. He was a Penguins’ fan who attended games at the old Igloo. His favorite player? Alex Kovalev. “My favorite team was in the early 2000s,” Miller said. “I liked Kovalev. He was a fun player to watch.
