Edmonton Oilers' Benoit Pouliot shows what he's capable of providing

As far as first impressions go, his was rather undistinguished. It started with just one goal in his first 14 games as a member of the Edmonton Oilers, then there was an 18-game stay on the sideline while Benoit Pouliot waited for the broken bone in his foot to heal. But Pouliot will head into Thursday’s game against the San Jose Sharks with a career high 18 goals and 31 points in spite of missing a quarter of the season. It’s the kind of impression he wanted to leave after signing a five-year, $20-million contract last summer.
