Hawks recall Bollig from Rockford

Chicago Blackhawks Blog | ESPN Chicago — The Chicago Blackhawks recalled forward Brandon Bollig from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Wednesday. The 26-year-old Bollig had been reassigned to Rockford on Monday. He has played in 17 games with the Blackhawks this season. The Blackhawks have shuffled a number of players in their organization this week. Jeremy Morin and Jimmy Hayes were reassigned to Rockford on Tuesday. The Blackhawks also traded for San Jose Sharks for center Michal Handzus on Monday and acquired the rights to Cornell junior defenseman Kirill Gotovets from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.

Chicago Blackhawks Blog | ESPN Chicago — The Chicago Blackhawks assigned forward Brandon Bollig to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Wednesday. Bollig has been with the Blackhawks all season, appearing in 11 games and recording 40 penalty minutes. Bollig has often taken turns with forward Jamal Mayers as a healthy scratch this season. Bollig played predominately on the fourth line. He last played in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Minnesota Wild and was on the ice for 4:59. The Blackhawks have not announced a corresponding move.
