Nucks Misconduct Jan 27, 2016

Predators Beat Canucks 2-1 In A Snoozefest

I see no one is tackling the game review so I'm putting down several drinks and rolling with the punches.... The Canucks returned home to face the Predators after a 6-game road trip that spanned 10 days and the team amassed a 3-2-1 record. I always expect Canucks-Preds games to be very unpredictable in nature, more-so than many other foes-faced. This game was unpredictably boring. Brandon Sutter made his return after a 33 game absence from sports hernia surgery, plus the Preds play a more entertaining style under coach Peter Laviolette than they did under Barry Trotz. Surely we'd see some...

Canucks Post Game: Hutton needs spa visit, Sutter needs better backhand, Willie D needs Pepto-Bismol

Points to ponder as Ben Hutton looked like he needs the All-Star Game break, Brandon Sutter looked like he doesn’t need time to shake off his rust and the Canucks looked like they need a tutorial after a bizarre third-period …

Brandon Sutter scored in his first game back, but that was the extent of the good news for the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.

Brandon Sutter is slated to make his return to the Vancouver line-up tonight. A sports hernia that eventually required surgery has kept him out since a Nov. 10 game.

Game Day Coffee- Jan 26/16- Canucks vs Nashville

Hey, did you know that Brandon Sutter plays for the Canucks? Weird, right? Sutter's been out for what seems like 7 1/2 seasons, and will make his return tonight. Nothing's going to change though. The Canucks are still awful. And here they are, your starting forwards for tonight's contest against the Nashville Predators: With Sutter expected to be back in tonight; here’s how the Canucks skated on Monday: https://t.co/IYNuOYROEQ pic.twitter.com/A1RcftORxM — Daily Faceoff (@DailyFaceoff) January 26, 2016 A couple interesting things there: Jared McCann is the youngster sitting...

So much for being eased back into the lineup. When he returns Tuesday night after missing 33 games following sports hernia surgery, centre Brandon Sutter will skate on the Vancouver Canucks’ first line with Daniel Sedin and Jannik Hansen.

Kuzma: Healing Hamhuis wants to return after All-Star game

Dan Hamhuis didn’t quite know where to start Monday. It was like the Vancouver Canucks’ defenceman was a medical school professor when pressed to revisit post-injury trauma and the technology it took to rebuild his face after taking a Dan Boyle shot to the head Dec. 9 at Rogers Arena.

Kuzma: Sutter's back with the Canucks — just in time

Brandon Sutter could have waited another 10 days to stick a toe in the competitive pool. But he’s sick of waiting, sick of bag skates, sick of binge-watching TV series and sick of four to five hours of daily rehab while his teammates were on the road.

Pens Points: Bonino Injured and Back In Pittsburgh

Daily source of Pittsburgh Penguins and NHL news and stories. Good morning one and all, The Pens practiced in Tampa yesterday in preparation for the Lightning matchup tomorrow. Malkin and Bonino missed it, Geno for a maintenance day, while Bonino was sent back to Pittsburgh for an injury evaluation. Bonino's absence will impact the PK. But just being devil's advocate, has he been any better than Brandon Sutter? [Trib] The Pens have been maddeningly inconsistent this year. Are they are playing up/down to the level of competition? Who knows. [Times Online] The Lightning are somewhat similar...
