Mike Smith and the Coyotes cannot generate enough offense to overcome a failed clearing attempt and Sidney Crosby's Penguins in 3-1 loss. Keeping consistent with the recent M.O., the Arizona Coyotes played some good defense, got some good goaltending, but could not light the lamp enough as the Pittsburgh Penguins skated by with the 3-1 victory Saturday night at Gila River Arena. Tobias Rieder scored for the Coyotes, and Brandon Sutter, Daniel Winnik and Sidney Crosby scored for the Penguins, who snapped their four game losing streak. Pens flip switch back on, beat Edmonton 6-4

The Pittsburgh Penguins jump out to a big 4-0 lead, blow it away to a 4-4 tie and then score 2 more goals to salt away the win. The Pittsburgh Penguins were off to the races early against the Edmonton Oilers. That was meant literally when Brandon Sutter, while shorthanded 4:16 into the game, knocked a puck by Justin Schultz at the far blueline.
