Blues Lose Brian Elliott To Dreaded Lower Body Injury

Jordan Binnington has been recalled from the Wolves. In last night's 3-2 shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators, the Blues lost something more important than the game. They lost Brian Elliott. He sustained a lower body injury in this scrum at the net: Chris Butler shoved Eric Condra into the goaltender, and you can see Elliott's right leg fold awkwardly under his body. He tried to stay in, but as a precaution he was pulled and Jake Allen was put in, surrendering two goals (one in the last 40 seconds of the game) en route to the shootout loss.
