Flyers deliver another goal barrage for third straight win

NASHVILLE - The Flyers, one of the league 's lowest-scoring teams all season, have suddenly become goal-happy. Wayne Simmonds and Claude Giroux each scored a pair of goals and collected three points as the Flyers ripped the Predators on Thursday night, 6-3, at Bridgestone Arena.

Claude Giroux wants to celebrate his goal with the Nashville Predators

G doesn't discriminate. Celebrate with your team, celebrate with the opposition, just celebrate! When Claude Giroux scored his 15th of the season to put the Philadelphia Flyers up 4-1 over the Nashville Predators, he was really excited. Of course he was excited - everyone loves to score goals! - and so, he wanted to share the love with his teammates. And the opposition. He also wanted to share the love with the opposition. G really wanted the Preds to join the celly pic.twitter.com/0K30jqnQId — Brendan Sherwood (@BrendanBrandon) February 5, 2016 Thank you so much, Brendan, for...

Claude Giroux knows how to celebrate a win

O Captain! My Captain! The Philadelphia Flyers returned from the All-Star Break with a bang. Of course, it helps they were playing against the Montreal Canadiens, who have only won once in their last nine games - and that one victory was over the Maple Leafs, so does it really count? - but that doesn't take away from Wayne Simmonds' two-goal game (Simmonds has a habit of back-to-back multi-goal home games), or the other two goals scored in the 4-2 win. Claude Giroux only registered one assist, but he was second in shots on net for the Flyers with four (... Simmonds had eight, because he is...

[BSH] *Claude Giroux was good enough to check in throughout the weekend and let us know what fun he was having. [Flyers] *Claude brought his moves to the Skills competition. [CSN Philly] *The real winner in the skills competition were P.K. Subban and Brent Burns, though....

Giroux: Flyers must look at 'small picture'

NASHVILLE - Claude Giroux spent three fun-filled days in Nashville for the all-star festivities, but now comes the hard part: trying to steer the Flyers to an Eastern Conference playoff berth in the final 35 games.

Claude Giroux has more swag than most people know what to do with

Are you for real with these cuffs, G? That's amazing. Claude Giroux, everybody. Or rather, GBaby, everybody. Okay, so the stitching quality doesn't look super great - especially on the G and second B (did he do it himself? I kind of hope he did) - but still, Giroux's dedication to the letter G and all ways he can exploit it for nicknames is really something to admire. He performed the G Thing in the shootout competition, he's got his GBaby cuffs... Hey, maybe one of the reasons he likes grilled cheese so much is because it starts with the letter G? Also, the fact that the lettering is...

Undersize Giroux, Gaudreau defy doubters

NASHVILLE - Besides having connections to the Philadelphia area and being named to their respective all-star teams this season, the Flyers' Claude Giroux and Calgary's Johnny Gaudreau have something else in common: The shifty forwards have proven the skeptics wrong.

Claude Giroux's shootout move is now called the G Thing because he says so

Also, on at least one occasion a coach has told him to stop trying so hard. Claude Giroux has written for the Player's Tribune before. He had a regular What The (Blank)? back at the end of 2015, but now he's an All-Star, and that calls for an All-Star What The (Blank)? There are, sadly, no banana drawings this time, nor any mentions of grilled cheese, but his handwriting is back, and with it, some reasonable (and questionable) answers. Like... the G Thing, G? Really? Actually, this isn't surprising at all. It's kind of easy, if you think about it. You do you, G. As for other parts of the...

The two types of All-Star Break social media posts, by the Philadelphia Flyers

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Wayne Simmonds have their entire team covered on the social media front. The NHL All-Star Break is time for the players to relax. It's a long, grinding 82-game season, after all, and by late January, teams are approaching 50 games. That's a lot - and so, the perfect time for a break. Some players, like Claude Giroux, still have a show to put on. Then there's everybody else, who pretty much go on vacation. Whether they share their exploits or not are up to them - but this particular break, Pierre-Edouard Bellemare and Wayne Simmonds have already covered the...

Claude Giroux stick handles his way through onslaught of pucks, a stick and a milk crate

Claude is pretty good at hockey. It's not a shocker that Claude Giroux's stickhandling skills are out of this world, but it's always fun to get a reminder. Like this video released by the NHL and GoPro this morning: Wait for the 1:50 mark or so. They yell out "Frogger!" and have Giroux stick-handle through an onslaught of pucks and a milk crate and even a stick being thrown in his way. Absolutely incredible. Quick look if you're too impatient to watch the video: Go watch the video though, for real. Claude is the best.

Claude Giroux does not think Michael Del Zotto is a good DJ, and other things

"I think we're more laughing at the DJ than with the DJ." Apparently, Michael Del Zotto is now interviewing his fellow Flyers teammates in a locker room stall in a new segment called "Stall Talk". This is a great idea, because Del Zotto has the charisma to be entertaining, but is also Del Zotto, so there's just enough material for his teammates to pick on him. Like his DJing skills, apparently. Del Zotto spends some time in his first segment being rather proud of what he's doing so far - and gets a little taken aback (and possibly hurt?) by his interview subject, Claude Giroux's, assessment...
