Bruins recall Peter Cehlarik from Providence

Bruins recall Peter Cehlarik from Providence

Celery has been freed! Yesterday, we speculated on whether or not the Bruins were up to something when they put Colby Cave on waivers. Today, they made their next move: the team announced that Peter Cehlarik has been recalled from Providence. Cehlarik is already with the team at practice, so he is getting into the swing of things quickly. Cehlarik has 10 goals and 19 assists in 37 games for Providence this season, and had been hot lately. This move wasn't exactly without risk for the Bruins, as they ended up losing Cave on waivers to Edmonton. The recall isn't exactly great news for David...

Bruins lose Colby Cave to Edmonton

Bruins lose Colby Cave to Edmonton

Adios, Cave Man. It's always a gamble putting a player on waivers, and this time, the Bruins lost. Oilers claim forward Colby Cave off waivers. Former Oiler, Mark Lamb coached him in Swift Current. Never drafted. Blue collar, responsible player.— Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) January 15, 2019 Chiarelli!!!!!! Cave is a hard-working player, one that you hate to see leave the organization, especially for nothing in return. Edmonton has been trying to make itself harder to play against up front for a while now, so the move makes sense for them. It's essentially a no-risk move for a...

With Colby Cave on waivers, do the Bruins have another move in the works?

With Colby Cave on waivers, do the Bruins have another move in the works?

Things don't quite add up with this roster move. On the surface, it's a pretty simple roster move: Cave (BOS) & DiGiuseppe (NASH) on waivers— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) January 14, 2019 Colby Cave hasn't been playing much lately, so the Bruins aren't getting much out of him by keeping him in the press box. However, waiving him is a little odd. For one thing, placing him on waivers risks losing him for nothing. While he may not got claimed, there's always a chance a team will take a shot on a versatile forward with a little sandpaper to his game. Also, there's really no reason...

Who Suits Up for the Bruins Against the Wild?

Who Suits Up for the Bruins Against the Wild?

Still no Charlie McAvoy tonight... Monday’s practice lines should be indicative of what Bruce Cassidy’s lineup will look like come puck drop Tuesday night. Colby Cave was the extra forward and appears destined be on the ninth floor, while the same goes for Steven Kampfer, who was the odd man out defensively. Charlie McAvoy is still dealing with his lower-body injury and will not be suiting up for the contest. It also appears that Tuukka Rask will get the nod in between the pipes. Rask has been red-hot as of late, winning his last three starts. Forwards Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron...

Bruins lines vs. Nashville: To Berg or not to Berg?

Bruins lines vs. Nashville: To Berg or not to Berg?

#37’s status will have a huge impact on the lines for today. The big question: is Patrice Bergeron back? I’m writing this as of Friday night, so there’s a decent chance that you know more than me! The latest news, however, is that Bergeron will be a game-time decision this afternoon. Per Matt Porter of the Globe, the lines will look pretty weird if Bergeron returns: Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - Danton Heinen Joakim Nordstrom - David Krejci - David Pastrnak Sean Kuraly - Colby Cave - David Backes Some mixture of Ryan Donato, Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson, Noel Acciari and Chris...
