[Monday's FTB]: Senators choke under pressure

What will the SNES do next? It was a quiet Sunday in Leafland, so I thought I would get a jump on the MSM narratives and cover the Senators two-game collapse. They choked themselves out of a playoff spot this weekend, losing to Tyler McBozak and the Panthers. These big-game loses raise questions about the ability of Swedish captain Erik Karlsson. The team had no compete on the ice, as proven by the fact they lost, most recently being humiliated by Florida Panthers legend Dave Bolland, and some of his other team mates. Where was Karlsson's leadership these past two games? I haven't heard...

Marchand To Defeat: Panthers 2, Bruins 1, (SO)

Florida hung on against the Bruins from Beantown in a showdown in BB&T Saturday night. The first period would see the Bruins commit two penalties, and the Panthers commit one, although neither team's power play could trip the light fantastic. What did was eventually Jimmy Hayes, with his 18th marker of the season. The goal came after a healthy scratch for the big guy, and would represent the fourth such goal this season for the inimitable Mr. Hayes.
