More familiar faces return to Pittsburgh

Training camp is only a little more than a week away which means more and more players are returning to the city. Last week, three Penguins players returned to the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry for the first time since the team was eliminated from the playoffs back in May. Jake Guentzel, Chad Ruhwedel, and Jack Johnson participated in an informal skate session at the Penguins practice facility. A lot can happen in a week, and that is certainly the case here as those three skaters were joined by a host of teammates for another informal skate session at UPMC Lemieux this afternoon....

Phil Kessel ranked 13th in best wingers

Phil Kessel ranked 13th in best wingers

Still #1 in our hearts though The latest list of rankings by the NHL Network turned to wingers Start your morning with a good ol' debate. #NHLTopPlayers pic.twitter.com/ZmG6Wlaipk— NHL Network (@NHLNetwork) August 20, 2018 I don’t have a lot of outrage over this list, looks like a pretty good ranking. On any given night anyone named above can take over a game and make a case to be just as good as anyone in the league. No Jake Guentzel, but that’s to be expected considering his point career-high is still 48 and the majority of that list has scored 60-70-80+ points over the years.
