Blue Jackets notebook: Jack Johnson's suspension leads to new defensive pairings

Defenseman Jack Johnson served the first game of his three-game NHL suspension last night when the Blue Jackets played Carolina at PNC Arena. Defenseman James Wisniewski, who missed just three games because of a broken left index finger, returned, but Richards still shuffled the pairings. David Savard moved up to the No. 1 pair with Fedor Tyutin. Wisniewski joined Tim Erixon on the second, and Fredric St. Denis and Dalton Prout made up the third.
