The Wild make another big splash in free agency. Holy cow folks, I still can't believe Chuck Fletcher was able to steal defensemen Justin Faulk from Carolina. He really is the best GM in the...wait. The other Justin Falk? Well that's depressing. Let's look at the bright side here. Falk is (hopefully) just a depth signing to bring some experience to Iowa that will allow the younger defensemen like Dumba and Olofsson to be called up to the big club. Falk returns to Minnesota. In what I hope is purely a depth move, the Wild have brought back Justin Falk after his 1 year stint in New York with the Rangers. The 6'5 defenceman was orginally drafted by the Wild 110th overall in 2007 and turns 26 in October. He made his debut in 2009/10 and went on to play 112 games for the Wild over the next 3 seasons before getting traded to the Rangers for Ben Ferriero and a 6th round pick last Summer.
