Vlasic delivers in late going for Sharks for 2nd straight game

Thanks to late-game performances by Marc-Edouard Vlasic, the Sharks are back on track after an embarrassing loss a few nights earlier. Vlasic scored his second winning goal in two nights 3:09 into overtime, and the Sharks completed a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night. Vlasic, who scored the winner with 4.5 seconds left in regulation Monday night at Winnipeg, beat goalie Darcy Kuemper with a wrist shot from just outside the left circle. Pickles wins it for the Sharks again. For the second night in a row on the road, Marc-Edouard Vlasic led the Sharks to victory. After scoring the game-winner with five seconds left in regulation off a set faceoff play last night in Winnipeg, San Jose's top defenseman exchanged passes with Justin Braun in overtime before streaking down the left wing and firing a slapshot past an off-his-angle Darcy Kuemper to help the Sharks sweep a back-to-back for the first time all season. Melker Karlsson also scored for the second time in as many games for the Sharks, actually stretching his goal-scoring...

Vlasic downs Jets with five seconds remaining

A buzzer-beater from Vlasic got the Sharks back in the win column in Winnipeg. With the Sharks' best forward out of the lineup due to injury, their best defenseman stepped up in a huge way. With five seconds left in regulation, Marc-Edouard Vlasic snuck in from the point after an offensive-zone faceoff was won by the Sharks, took a pass from Logan Couture and rifled the puck short side to beat Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson and break a 2-2 deadlock. All around, San Jose's second full game without Joe Thornton went a whole lot better than their first even if the star center's absence on...
