Panthers ink F Reilly Smith to five-year extension

Smith's 25-goal season earns him a lucrative long-term deal The Florida Panthers continued to lock up its young core, signing second line winger Reilly Smith to a five-year, $25M contract. Smith's new deal will kick in at the start of the 2017-18 season. He will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2022.
