Matt Calvert's highly-rumored signing has finally come to pass, retaining a fan favorite and adding some hustle and familiarity in the bottom six. This morning, the Blue Jackets announced what had been rumored for a while -- Matt Calvert has been signed to a three-year contract extension, with an AAV of $2.2 million. He'll make $1.5 million this season, $2.2 million next year, and $2.9 million in the final year of the deal. This slots him ahead of Jared Boll ($1.7 million) and Gregory Campbell ($1.5 million) in terms of AAV for forwards not on ELCs. A fair deal for both sides, and...
