Game 80: Minnesota Wild @ Chicago Blackhawks

Win, and we're in .... take 3 After dropping three-in-a-row with playoff implications on the line, the Wild can still clinch a spot tonight if they win against the Blackhawks. If the Wild lose, there is still a possibility they can clinch with some help from around the league. Nino Niederreiter took a nasty collision with Thomas Vanek last night and he was questionable after the loss last night. Dr. Russo told us that Nino practiced today and will dress tonight against Chicago. Matt Cooke could dress tonight for the first time since February 1. Jason Zucker has recovered from his collarbone...

Preview: Jets @ Wild

Home finale for the Wild tonight, and playoff spot is on the line. Tonight the Wild are in the Xcel for the last time in 2015 (in the regular season, winky face). A win tonight gives the Wild a playoff spot in the West no matter what the Kings, Flames, Whalers, Thrashers or whoever is behind the Wild in the West. Captain Mikko Koivu is back in the lineup tonight after aggravating an injury before the game. Ryan Carter is back in for Jordan Schroeder. Erik Haula will remain on the 4th line with Kyle Brodziak. Matt Cooke should play tomorrow against Chicago after missing the last few months....

Where Is Matt Cooke's Place on the Minnesota Wild?

The landscape of the Wild's bottom-6 has changed dramatically since Matt Cooke left with injury. When Matt Cooke was injured in a victory against Vancouver on February 1st, he was playing on a much different team than the one the Wild have currently assembled. This is fantastic news for the Wild. Though they lost arguably their best goal-scorer in Jason Zucker, they've helped offset that blow to their depth chart by getting Justin Fontaine back from injury. In addition to that, they've seen Jordan Schroeder get playing time, and also acquired Sean Bergenheim and Chris Stewart via trade. But...

Getting in the face of a hated rival, one with history, then...
