Montreal played well, but the Avalanche hold the lead heading into the second. There are  NHL.com boxscores for us to consult, so the details will be completely made up. Deal with it. So far so good from the kids, although they trail the Avs by one after one period. Once again Jiri Sekac is showing why he was sought after by many teams; he's incredibly skilled.
