Cheapseats: White provides early glimpse into future as Senators No. 1 centre

Life without Matt Duchene – both now and potentially in two months when he’s traded, which we fully believe will be the case – includes Colin White as the Senators No. 1 centre. That’s not a horrible thing. In his first full season, White is developing into a fine two-way player. He’s going to exceed […]

The free agent factor: What will Senators end up doing with Duchene, Stone and Dzingel?

Ottawa Senators star centre Matt Duchene played coy earlier this week when asked about his long-term future with the organization. “I’ve said before, I don’t know what’s going to happen,” said Duchene, who, like fellow veteran Senators Mark Stone and Ryan Dzingel, is a pending unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2018-19 season. Sens lose 5-2 to Habs again

Sens lose 5-2 to Habs again

They also lost Duchene and Ryan After being embarrassed two days ago against the Canadiens, the Senators were hoping for a better result at home tonight. Unfortunately, outside of maybe the first 10 minutes of the game, the Sens looked like they didn’t belong in this one either. By the time the final horn sounded, the Habs fans (who were more than half the audience) were chanting “Olé Olé Olé”, and the Senators were licking their wounds, both metaphorically after losing back-to-back games against their division rivals, and physically after losing both Bobby Ryan and Matt Duchene to...
