Antoine Roussel returns to full contact practice, which is good news for Bo Horvat

The Canucks could use some reinforcements. Brandon Sutter has a groin strain and it’s unclear when he might return. Micheal Ferland has been out since the end of October with a concussion and there’s still no timetable for his return to the lineup. Then there’s Tyler Motte, who has been out since October 25th with a broken foot. Injuries haven’t entirely been the cause of the Canucks’ slide in November, but they haven’t helped. The Canucks could really use some good news on the injury front, and they got some on Monday. Not only did Jay Beagle return to practice after missing...

Canucks call up Sven Baertschi, but weather delays could keep him out of the lineup

The gritty winger suffered an upper-body injury and didn’t play another shift after dropping the gloves with Kyle Clifford in Wednesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Kings. Fortunately, the Canucks have some good depth that they can call on with the Utica Comets — legitimate, NHL-caliber depth that, quite frankly, shouldn’t be in the AHL. Sven Baertschi has been called up from the Comets and is making his way to California to join the team.
