Chicago Blackhawks Blog | ESPN Chicago — CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith and forward Michal Handzus did not practice Friday, but they will play in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinal series against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "They're both fine," Quenneville said after Friday's practice at the United Center. "They'll be ready for [Saturday.]" Handzus also missed the team's two practices leading into Game 1 of the series and then played 23 shifts and 17:01 and had a plus-1 rating during Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.

Quenneville said following Tuesday's practice at the United Center that Handzus is "fine" and will play in Game 1. Quenneville described Handzus as having a "maintenance day" when he missed Monday's practice.
