Wild goalie Backstrom undergoes sports hernia surgery

Blackhawks Blog | Chicago Breaking Sports — ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom, who missed the entire first-round playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks, underwent successful sports hernia surgery Thursday.
