Pascal Dupuis won't return this season

The Penguins announce their forward, battling a blood clot, won't make it back in time to be cleared for this season Ever since Pascal Dupuis was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung in November, the anticipation by player and fans was to immediately wonder if he could buck the prognosis and make it back sometime in the 2015 playoffs to help the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sadly, the door on that has closed, with Penguins GM Jim Rutherford and coach Mike Johnston flat out announcing that Dupuis will not be returning for any more of the 2014-15 season. Today's must read is written from Pascal Dupuis himself, outlining his journey through 2 different blood clots found in his lungs in the 2014. Props to commenter broag for bringing this to Pens Points, Pascal Dupuis wrote a really good piece that you have to check out now. Last February we were wondering here why it took him so long to have surgery to repair his knee when he was quietly on blood thinners to deal with a blood clot that moved from his leg to his lung.
