Pascal Dupuis Possible to Play Tonight

Pascal Dupuis was stretchered off of the ice on Thursday night vs. the Dallas Stars. It's possible that he could be in the lineup tonight vs. the Islanders When Dupuis was taken from the ice on a stretcher on Thursday night, many feared the worst that he would be out of the lineup, even for a short while. As of now, he possibly could play. Dupuis says he feels a bit better, but the decision on if he'll play will be made this afternoon. #Pens — Wes Crosby (@OtherNHLCrosby) October 18, 2014 Dupuis says decision on playing tonight will be made this afternoon. — Dave Molinari...

Pascal Dupuis injury update

Pascal Dupuis skated before practice this morning, and coach Mike Johnston says he might even play tomorrow night against the New York Islanders. An update of what we know after a scary looking injury last night. The turning point in last night's game was when Pascal Dupuis got cross-checked from behind and fell forward the instant Kris Letang was shooting the puck on goal. Dupuis was struck in a bad place- neck or upper back and went down. It took a stretcher to get Dupuis off the ice, after he suffered some numbness in his arm as a result of being struck by a frozen piece of rubber that...

Pens Points: Game Overshadowed by Duper's Injury

We await news about Pascal Dupuis, the Pens heart and soul. The game was lost to the Stars in the last few seconds. Islanders keep rolling Well last night wasn't fun. Last-minute loss aside, it was really all about Pascal Dupuis going off on a stretcher and awaiting news - hopefully good ones as far as the severity of any injury he may have suffered. So we start this morning with reactions to what happened in the second period: first from Alex Goligoski, who said he gave Duper "a little push". Brandon Sutter had some good quotes and said Dupuis was talking to them during the time he was...

Video: Pittsburgh Penguins Winger Pascal Dupuis Hit With Puck, Leaves Game on Stretcher

The Penguins winger is in a local hospital after taking a shot in the second period on Thursday. With the Penguins leading 2-1 in the second period of Thursday's game against the Dallas Stars, veteran winger Pascal Dupuis went down to the ice after a battle in front of the net with defenseman Alex Goligoski. What happened next was incredibly scary. Dupuis obviously seemed to go numb after the shot, flexing his hands as he went down the ice. He was eventually stretched off after being tended to by medical staff from both teams, but gave an optimistic thumbs-up as he left the ice. Reports...

Pascal Dupuis stretchered off ice

Scary moment in Pittsburgh with Pascal Dupuis getting taken off the ice on a stretcher after being hit by a puck Scary moment in the Penguins / Stars game, Pascal Dupuis was injured and had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. Here's a vine from our buddy @Madchad412 As you can see, former teammate Alex Goligoski puts a fairly routine and to-be-expected cross check in the back of Dupuis, who falls forward. This happens at a horrible time though, because Kris Letang is in the process of putting a shot on net. The shot strikes Dupuis somewhere in between the shoulders, up towards...

Penguins vs. Ducks: GIFs of the Game

The Penguins and the Anaheim Ducks faced off at Consol Energy Center on Thursday night and the Pens won by a score of 6 to 4. Sidney Crosby notched his first goal of the season by turning Ben Lovejoy into a pylon. Giving Crosby the puck after getting his legs moving from his own blue line is a plan that opposing teams may want to shy away from. Blake Comeau scored his first goal as a Penguin. He, Olli Maatta, and Pascal Dupuis had a good time celebrating this one.  Maatta and Dupuis had special nights for themselves. Maatta had 3 assists, notably, this beautiful one to feed...
