Their status for tomorrow night’s clash with the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre is to be determined.

Green Day

Green Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Bruins fans! Fugheddabout last night against the spOilers. We reconvene Monday in Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs at 7:30 on NESN. Nope, this one was not on Tuukka Rask. Patrice Bergeron asserted that “it was just an awful game by everyone.” You gonna argue with St. Patrice on St. Patrick’s Day? WEEI Sloppy defense left the Bruins down 3-0 in the first period and fighting to get out of their own end. Anton Khudobin finshed the game in net. Boston Globe Matt Beleskey just can’t seem to get a break, as a Bergeron shot hit him in the head in the...

Bruins notebook: Matt Beleskey takes puck off head in loss to Oilers

EDMONTON, Alberta — It has been a year to forget for Matt Beleskey. He started slowly, then suffered a knee injury that kept him out of the lineup for almost seven weeks. His return from that injury has been anything but smooth. And last night, his buzzard luck returned when he took a hard snap shot from Patrice Bergeron off his head when he was standing in front of the net with 11 seconds to play in the Bruins’ 7-4 blowout loss to the Oilers. But he’s showing signs of breaking through. He scored the big insurance goal early in the third period in Calgary and also chipped in on the...

Da REAL MVP

Da REAL MVP

Why not Brad Marchand? Hardy Bruins fans who stayed up last night were rewarded with a quota win over the Canucks, including a hat trick from the Little Ball of Great. When Patrice Bergeron is “just trying to get out of the way” you just know that Brad Marchand is on a tear. His timing was good, after an iffy first period against the Henrik Sedin/Daniel Sedin/Mikael Granlund line . (With video) Boston Globe Marchand just seems to have a thing about Vancouver, and an ability to pick up and carry the Bruins on his back when needed. WEEI Look out, Sidney Crosby, Marchand has your league...
Brad Marchand, Sidney Crosby lead NHL in goals

Brad Marchand, Sidney Crosby lead NHL in goals

Six months ago, Brad Marchand and Sidney Crosby were dominant as linemates at the World Cup of Hockey. It seemed an odd-couple pairing, but along with Patrice Bergeron, Canada's top line fueled a gold medal run. Crosby and Marchand finished one-two in scoring, and Marchand shined against the best compeition on earth, scoring the tournament-winning goal in the final against Europe. With time winding down in the NHL's regular season, Crosby and Marchand are together again: atop the goal-scoring race.

Bergeron: 'It would be disappointing' if NHL isn't in 2018 Olympics

While it doesn't appear that NHL players will be returning to the 2018 Olympics, Bruins' Patrice Bergeron and David Backes still hope an agreement can be worked out.

It’s time to say it: Bruins’ Brad Marchand a Hart Trophy candidate

It’s time to say it: Bruins’ Brad Marchand a Hart Trophy candidate

Bruins players have received their share of love when it comes to postseason awards over the last decade. Tuukka Rask has a Vezina Trophy on his mantle; Zdeno Chara owns a Norris Trophy; Patrice Bergeron has three Selke Awards, and could have won as many as five. But all of those awards have one thing in common: defense. Rarely in the past decade has a Bruins player been remotely considered for one of the top awards that are usually associated with offense. Until now. With 15 games left in the regular season, Bruins fans, it’s safe to say it.Brad Marchand, Hart Trophy...
Brad Marchand is having an amazing season

Brad Marchand is having an amazing season

Better than we’ve seen on the Bruins since the lockout Brad Marchand is having a great season. After last night, he’s got 32 goals and 38 assists. That’s good for 70 points. And that’s pretty rare around these parts. Brad becomes the 20th player to top 32 goals and 70 points. The last Bruin to do it? Joe Thornton (36-65-101) and Glen Murray (44-48-92) both reached the mark in both columns in the 2002-03 season. Patrice Bergeron has never reached both totals in the same season, though he did go 31-42-73 in 2006-07 and 32-36-68 in 2015-16. He’s also the 6th to get 3 short-handed...

Bruins fans now have the chance to live in Patrice Bergeron’s condo

He may not play for the city’s most popular team, but there’s no doubt that Patrice Bergeron is one of the city’s most decorated athletes. Between a Stanley Cup, multiple Olympic Gold medals, a World Cup, and three Selke Trophy wins, everything Bergeron touches seems to turn to gold, and it has not gone unnoticed […]

It appears Patrice & his family are moving on to bigger digs Are you a Bruins fan who happens to have a couple million dollars lying around? Have I got a deal for you! Boston.com posted a story yesterday about Patrice Bergeron’s North End condo being for sale. The price? A cool $1.6 million. Via Matterport, the place has some pretty awesome views of the city. via Matterport Check out some more pictures of the place here. With a one-year-old son, chances are Bergeron is just moving to a bigger place. However, I probably should have changed the title of the post to...
RECAP: Bruins fall to Senators, 4-2

RECAP: Bruins fall to Senators, 4-2

The maximum effort from the top line - the rightful top line - couldn’t pull the Bruins out of a late hole. What an up-and-down game... the Bruins played awful through the first 40 minutes, but found life with ten minutes left in the game. The highlight was Brad Marchand scoring his 30th goal of the season, becoming the 8th Bruin to score 30 or more goals in consecutive seasons. He and Patrice Bergeron scored, and David Pastrnak showed us maximum effort. First Period From the opening faceoff, the Bruins were chasing the puck, and the Senators were able to set up in the B’s end. Derick...
