Arizona Coyotes fall to Los Angeles Kings in high scoring affair

The offense came alive for the Coyotes, but the defense and goaltending couldn’t keep up. No matter what the standings and the stat sheets say, the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings always seem to produce lively affairs when they butt heads. Tonight was no exception, as a wild back and forth contest ended with a 4-3 Los Angeles victory at Gila River Arena. Scoring Summary First Period 1-0 Arizona - The two clubs barely gave fans time to find their seats, as Tyler Toffoli took a penalty just nine seconds into the game. Six seconds later, Martin Hanzal redirected a Radim Vrbata wrist...

Brent Burns’ goal 19 seconds into OT lifts Sharks

Brent Burns blasted a power-play goal 19 seconds into overtime as the Sharks beat the Arizona Coyotes 2-1 at SAP Center on Tuesday. The Sharks earned only their second power play of the game with three-tenths of a second left on the third-period clock when Arizona center Martin Hanzal high-sticked San Jose left wing Melker Karlsson. The Coyotes enjoyed the only power play of the period, but could manage only one shot after Sharks defenseman Brenden Dillon interfered with Arizona center Laurent Daughin. Right wing Radim Vrbata hit a wide-open Max Domi with a cross-ice pass, and the...

Arizona Coyotes beat Edmonton Oilers 2-1 to extend point streak to 25 games

The Coyotes’ ridiculous points streak against the Oilers rolls on. 21-0-4. The Arizona Coyotes continued their dominance of the Edmonton Oilers with a 2-1 victory in Edmonton on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Coyotes have recorded at least a point in their last 25 games against Edmonton. Scoring Summary First Period 1-0 Arizona - Arizona opened the scoring on a fluky play by Radim Vrbata. As Oliver Ekman-Larsson pinched to get the puck to Vrbata, Vrbata took it to the far-side corner and threw it on net. The puck bounced off of Kris Russell and in past Cam Talbot. Assist to...

Radim Vrbata is back at home with the Arizona Coyotes

Radim Vrbata was smiling as we met and shook hands, I knew it was going to be a good interview. During late in free agency, Radim Vrbata signed a one year deal with the Arizona Coyotes. Why? Because it feels like home. Radim Vrbata is currently leading the team in goals with six and is two points behind Max Domi for total points. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. The talented 35 year old right winger has always been someone to look to for goals. Now that he is back with Martin Hanzal and Domi, Vrbata could boost the Coyotes’ need for scoring. He’s done it before, and will probably do it...

Canucks Game Recap: Ben Hutton Steps Up In Yet Another Comeback Win

Vancouver defeats Arizona with a rare penalty shot in overtime Coming off Tuesdays 7-2 loss to arguably the best team in the league, the Vancouver Canucks face off tonight against the Arizona Coyotes. Despite a roster full of young talent, the Coyotes find themselves at the bottom of the league right now after a rough start to the season. Loui Eriksson came into this game hoping to build on his 6 points in the last 17 games. More importantly though, is it me or is he looking more and more like Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride as Movember goes on? We also get to see Radim Vrbata once...
