Blues re-sign former Sabres captain Ott

The St. Louis Blues re-signed forward Steve Ott to a two-year contract, ending speculation that the former Sabres captain might return to Buffalo.The 31-year-old Ott, who was acquired in the Ryan Miller deal from Buffalo on Feb. 28, had three assists and 37 penalty minutes in 23 regular-season games. In six playoff games, he added two assists and 14 penalty minutes.Ott is an 11-year veteran and former 2000 first-round pick of the Dallas Stars. He has 267 points in 696 career regular-season games, along with 1,355 penalty minutes.

Ryan Miller becomes a Vancouver Canuck

by Amy Moritz Ryan Miller keeps going West. The former Buffalo Sabres goalie signed a reported three-year, $6 million deal with the Vancouver Canucks. Miller, who was traded with Steve Ott to St. Louis in March, went 19-10-8 with the Blues this year and 2-4 in six playoff games. The 33-year old won 284 games over 11 seasons with the Buffalo Sabres.
