Flames Notes: Monahan, Backlund miss practice

Sean Monahan poked his head out of the Calgary Flames’ dressing room and walked down the hall without the assistance of an air cast or crutches and didn’t appear to have visible problems putting one foot in front of the other. A good sign, considering the top-line centre missed Monday’s practice at Scotiabank Saddledome for what […]

They would be welcoming one or the other — and were tickled either way. Fan Poll Friday: Lindholm, Neal. Who You Got?

Fan Poll Friday: Lindholm, Neal. Who You Got?

Both have played well on the top line so far this season. Fan Poll Friday This isn’t a bad predicament to have: who should be on the top line? Should it be James Neal? Should it be Elias Lindholm? HOWEVER, it could be argued that Neal could provide some muscle on that top line and he scored against the Blues when skating with the Flames top duo. So, who belongs up top with Johnny...

Flames powered by stars, goalie in shutting out Preds

NASHVILLE — The Calgary Flames have bolstered their scoring depth, although the supporting-casters haven’t provided much offensive oomph just yet. If their top trio can keep producing at this torrid clip, the Flames can afford to be patient. Sean Monahan tallied twice, Elias Lindholm also tickled twine and Johnny Gaudreau collected a hat-trick of helpers […]
