Revisionist History: Canes draft Sean Monahan

Revisionist History: Canes draft Sean Monahan

Oh, how the winds could have changed. You knew I was the right man to write the next installment in this series. It’s no secret my disdain for the Hurricanes drafting Elias Lindholm, adding to years of mediocrity by reaching on a player that should have been drafted a few picks lower. Ho hum. 2017-18 was even more impressive for Monahan as he tied his career high in goals with 31, despite playing 74 games and essentially being held together by duct tape for the final month of his season. Monahan also set a career high in points with 64, which was a 71 point pace had he played the full 82 games. There’s no exact timetable for how long...
