Tuesday Morning Skate: Saved by Rask

Good morning, all. Another day trying to escape from Shawn Thornton's basement. I think I've gone insane. I even think I see the sea. Hold on, maybe I'm not crazy? Maybe that really is the sea? Straight From The Cat's Mouth: Shawn Thornton

One of Florida's many summer signings, gritty veteran Shawn Thornton gives his thoughts on coming to Sunrise. Shawn Thornton was one of six players that Florida Panthers general manager Dale Tallon reeled in on the opening day of the 2014 NHL Free Agency Period. Thornton was a prospect in the Chicago Blackhawks system when Tallon took over as the GM there in 2005. He received a few call-ups but generally stayed in the AHL with the Norfolk Admirals. He signed with the Anaheim Ducks during the 2006 off-season and would win his first Stanley Cup at the end of that campaign. Afterward one...
