Mono keeps Edmonton Oilers' Theo Peckham out of action

Edmonton Journal — ST. PAUL, Minn. - Instead of being the usual healthy scratch against the Minnesota Wild Friday, Theo Peckham is now a sick sitter. If the Edmonton Oilers’ defenceman wanted an exclamation point to a season of futility where he’s only played four games, he got it Friday with the news that he has mononucleosis.

Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Saturday

Fantasy Hockey Scouts — Patric Hornqvist left last night's game (after scoring) in the 2nd period with a UBI after being boarded by Theo Peckham... no word on the severity. Brenden Morrow had a tweaking in his groin which the Stars are saying is just day-to-day but beware as his injuries can go from morsel to meal pretty quickly. The good news is that Ales Hemsky's foot is not broken after blocking a shot on Thursday but he couldn't lace them up (literally) last night. Not sure how long it will keep him out. The Wild placed Darcy Kuemper on the IR with a groin injury, so he's out until next week at least. ...
