While some had hoped that the offensive flair shown by Bobby Butler over the final weeks of the season might be enough to earn him a spot on the roster this fall, the Nashville Predators have instead traded the pending Restricted Free Agent to the Florida Panthers, in exchange for T.J. Brennan, who is also headed to RFA status this summer. TSN's Bob McKenzie broke the news on Twitter a few moments ago. Panthers have acquired Bobby Butler from the Nashville Predators for T.J. Brennan. Butler, currently a RFA, join his four organization in three seasons. Butler was once a promising prospect in the Ottawa Senators organization, after being signed as an undrafted free agent after four seasons at the University of New Hampshire. Butler helped the Binghamton Senators, Ottawa's AHL affiliate, win the Calder Cup in 2011 with 13 goals in 23 AHL playoff games. The following season.
