Victor Hedman ties franchise record for assists by a defenseman

Hedman racked up his 187th assist against the NJ Devils, tying Dan Boyle’s franchise record. In Victor Hedman's 8th season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, he's already met a milestone. Previously, Dan Boyle held first place in number of assists by a Lightning defenseman -- tonight, Hedman tied the franchise record at 187. Hedman met this record in 482 regular-season games.
