Wild start second half with a nail-biting 2-1 victory over Oilers

It wasn't pretty, but they got it done. It took a turnover in the neutral zone that sprung Charlie Coyle in alone on Oilers' goaltender Viktor Fasth. What happened after that was a beauty of a game-winning goal. In a game that provided very little offense, the Wild was able to hold off the Oilers to start the unofficial second half of the season. Late Red Wings goals ruins Oilers comeback

Viktor Fasth finally got a chance to make amends Tuesday, and did so with 38 saves in Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings at Rexall Place. The Edmonton Oilers backup goaltender, who hasn’t won a game since Nov. 9, let in three goals on six shots the last time he started a game, and surrendered nine goals on his previous 37 shots.
