The handful of former Chicago Blackhawks who play for the Arizona Coyotes were excited to see Corey Crawford back on the ice after an extended absence. Vinnie Hinostroza and company also enjoyed skipping town with a win. Hinostroza scored twice against his former team, Antti Raanta made 33 saves and the visiting Coyotes spoiled Crawford’s season debut, beating the Blackhawks 4-1 on Thursday night. The 2017 third-round draft pick came to Chicago from Arizona in the Marian Hossa deal. On Tuesday morning, the Chicago Blackhawks added another prospect to their roster by signing MacKenzie Entwistle to a three-year, entry-level contract that’s worth $925,000 annually. The 23-year-old said last month he’s not medically cleared to play. The Chicago Blackhawks have placed forward Jordan Maletta on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract, reports Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
