Rumor: Milos Teodosic closest to signing with Utah Jazz according to Serbian paper

Rumor: Milos Teodosic closest to signing with Utah Jazz according to Serbian paper

The Serbian point guard is leaning heavily toward signing with Utah. According to a Serbian newspaper, it’s not the Chicago Bulls who are the top landing spot for Milos Teodosic, but the Utah Jazz. Warning: Terrible Serbian to English translation ahead Very important is that the coach "jazz musicians" Quinn Snyder firsthand convinced of the quality of the organizers of the game our team, since the 2012/2013 season. Ettore Messina was an assistant in the team CSKA. On top of that our expert Igor Kokoškov is a member of the coaching staff at the club who remember and tandem...

Rudy Gobert Is Swoll as H*ck

We’ve got an early #MuscleWatch contender. We’ve got an early contender for the #MuscleWatch2017 crown and it’s none other than the Utah Jazz’s own Rudy Gobert. Always good to stop by. @p3sportscience ♨️ A post shared by Rudy Gobert (@rudygobert27) on Jun 23, 2017 at 2:39pm PDT Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang, Rudy. Lookin’ good. C’mon, Hayward, you really want to leave this Atlas for Isaiah Thomas or Hassan Whiteside? Why leave for a beach when Rudy Gobert...

Dennis Lindsey proved that he's the best GM in the NBA at the 2017 NBA Draft

Dennis Lindsey proved that he's the best GM in the NBA at the 2017 NBA Draft

He stole Denver’s Nuggets So much was at stake for Dennis Lindsey, general manager of the Utah Jazz, at the NBA draft. He had specific players out of his range that he wanted to go after, but he also has to prove to Gordon Hayward he's not giving up on resigning him in NBA free agency. Getting Donovan Mitchell without giving up any veteran players was a masterful move and a major reason Dennis Lindsey is the best GM in the NBA and deserving of Executive of the Year.

The Best and the Worst Players picked at 13, 28, and 55

The Best and the Worst Players picked at 13, 28, and 55

From the lotto to the late 2nd there are many tales of success - but many more of failure. The 2017 NBA Draft is over. And we’re still trying to piece everything together. When the dust settled there were - as usual - 60 draft picks selected. But there were a ton of trades, a number of guys who fell, a few reaches, some panic moves, and a collection of undrafted players immediately signing contracts with NBA teams. The Utah Jazz finished with the players selected at #13, #28, and #55. Seeing how the team started the night off with the #24, #30, #42, and #55 we have to call this an overall...

Rumor: Celtics could trade for George if Hayward signs, Amar could turn into a dinosaur too.

Rumor: Celtics could trade for George if Hayward signs, Amar could turn into a dinosaur too.

Sources say Paul George and Gordon Hayward could team up in Boston According to unnamed sources, the Boston Celtics are on their way to their next superteam and future championship. Many basketball Hall of Famers are from this franchise, and no team has won more rings in the league. Objectively, the Boston Celtics are the best that ever was, and ever will be. And if unnamed sources are to be believed it’s clear that the Celtics are forming the next great Celtics dynasty around Isaiah Thomas, Gordon Hayward, and Paul George. (You know, move over Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert...

Summer League and the Salt Lake City Stars

Undrafted players that may be Utah Jazz targets With the 2017 NBA Draft over it’s clear that there are a handful of intriguing prospects left unclaimed. The Utah Jazz have been doing their homework, and it’s likely they sign a handful of undrafted college and foreign players to play in Utah’s summer league games, or bring them into the Utah Jazz organization with the SLC Stars for a more long-term development opportunity. 2017 NBA Draft Analysis: What to Expect from Louisville’s Donovan Mitchell

2017 NBA Draft Analysis: What to Expect from Louisville’s Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell is taking his flashy play to Wasatch Front. Entering the 2017 NBA Draft Thursday night, there were some rumors that the Utah Jazz wanted to trade up in hopes of landing an impact player. With the Denver Nuggets on the clock with the 13th pick, it was reported that they would be trading the pick to the Utah Jazz. The Jazz seized this opportunity, and selected Donovan Mitchell from the University of Louisville. Trading up in the draft is always an exciting move; but as the Jazz know, sometimes it doesn’t pan out in an ideal manner (see Trey Burke, 2013).With that in mind,...

Utah Jazz Draft Grades 2017: Pass or fail?

Utah Jazz Draft Grades 2017: Pass or fail?

A roundup of all the draft grades given to Utah on Draft Night. The Utah Jazz were active on draft night. General Manager Dennis Lindsey moved up twice, trading Trey Lyles and the 24 pick for Donovan Mitchell at 13 and trading the 30 and 42 picks for Tony Bradley at 28. Before the buzzer, Lindsey grabbed Nigel Williams-Goss with the 55 pick. Everyone knows how silly it is to grade a draft immediately after the picks are submitted. Alas, we do it anyways. Let’s take a trip around the internet to see how the experts feel about Utah’s draft. ESPN’s Chad Ford: A- [Mitchell’s] ability...

Q&A with Slipper Still Fits 2017: Nigel Williams-Goss

We speak with Peter Woodburn about Nigel Williams-Goss and what he’ll bring to the Utah Jazz. It’s not the NBA Draft unless the Utah Jazz select one of the most important players from the National Runner-Ups. Nigel Williams-Goss had himself an impressive year at Gonzaga, leading them to a #1 seed and all they way to the last few possessions of the title game. The Jazz decided that he’d had enough contact with John Stockton while up in Spokane that they took him with the 55th pick of the draft. I reached out to Peter Woodbury of Slipper Still Fits and asked him a few questions so we...

Q&A with Tar Heel Blog 2017: Tony Bradley

Q&A with Tar Heel Blog 2017: Tony Bradley

We speak with Tanya Bondurant about Tony Bradley and what he’ll bring to the Utah Jazz. As usual, Dennis Lindsay was an active man on Draft Day. After trading up to get Donovan Mitchel, the Utah Jazz weren’t done moving up to get the man they wanted. Tony Bradley out of UNC was tied to the Jazz throughout the workout process, and sure enough they are bringing him to Salt Lake City. I asked Tanya Bondurant over at Tar Heel Blog a few questions so we can get to know Tony a little better. Why should Jazz fans be excited about this pick? “Tony Bradley was excellent for the Tar Heels off...

Reaction: Utah Jazz select Nigel Williams-Goss #55

Reaction: Utah Jazz select Nigel Williams-Goss #55

Gonzaga point guards usually play well in SLC With the #55th pick of the 2017 NBA Draft the Utah Jazz didn’t trade their pick, move up, or sell - but selected point guard Nigel Williams-Goss with it. I honestly don’t know everything there is to know about the 6’3 PG from Gonzaga. But there are some guys out there who know him better. So let’s defer to them. To quote Chris Schutte from our bros over at MidMajorMadness.com : One of the things that made Gonzaga so good this year was their depth, but Nigel Williams-Goss was the engine that made them go. The junior point guard made a...
