Chiefs coming to Foxboro for Patriots' opening night game

It's on to the Chiefs.The Patriots will host Kansas City in the opening night NFL game on Thursday, Sept. 7, according to a league source. The full NFL schedule will be released tonight. The Patriots earned the right to host the opening night game when they won Super Bowl LI. The Chiefs are one of eight opponents who will visit Foxboro next season, along with the Jets, Bills, Dolphins, Texans, Chargers, Falcons and Panthers.

Instead, he chose to spend some extra time with his mother, who is in town from California. Brady's mother has been dealing with an illness for the past year.
