Defensive Lineman Jordan Berry Commits to LSU

Tigers pick up another West Coast prospect. LSU’s first junior day of the 2020 cycle has yielded its first commitment and the second West Coaster in the Tigers’ class in four-star defensive lineman Jordan Berry. He is a 6-3, 280-pound prospect from Harbor City, Calif., and a composite four-star prospect. Berry marks LSU’s second Californian in the class, joining superstar cornerback prospect Elias Ricks. Berry is the second defensive lineman in the class, joining Jacquelin Roy. Expect the defensive line to be a huge focus in this class. That makes 10 prospects in LSU’s class, which...

How Clemson’s winning ACC recruiting war (LINKS)

The Orange put together another solid class, but the Tigers are running away from the rest of the league. Wednesday marked another successful National Signing Day for the Syracuse Orange football program under Dino Babers. But while we consider a top-50ish class for 2019 a relative success given the quality and fit of players compared to recent history, it’s still not up to the same level as teams like the Clemson Tigers. The Tigers’ recent run of success — four straight College Football Playoff trips, lavish facilities, two national titles — is hard to compete with and the...

4-star DB Jay Ward picks LSU over Kentucky

A tough pill for Kentucky to swallow on National Signing Day. The Kentucky Wildcats seemed poised to score the commitment of four-star cornerback Jay Ward on National Signing Day. However, a late push by the LSU Tigers was enough to secure the commitment of Ward, as he’s signing with the Bayou Bengals. 247 Sports lists Ward as the No. 30 cornerback in the class, and the Wildcats were competing with some stiff competition for his services. After decommitting from Kentucky in November, the favorites became the Tigers, Florida State Seminoles and Texas A&M Aggies. The 6’2” defensive...

Ray Parker Signs With LSU

Louisiana product stays home and signs with the Tigers LSU kept a blue-chip in-state product home, as Ray Parker signed his National Letter of Intent to make it official with the Tigers on National Signing Day. Parker, who’s the 11th ranked prospect in the state, is the 16th ranked offensive tackle in the 247 Composite. Out of Ruston High School, he’s from Ruston, Louisiana, and LSU beat out schools like Arizona State, Florida, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M for his...

Softening the blow a bit after the George Perkins flip. While they’ve missed out on George Perkins, the Auburn Tigers have kept things moving on National Signing Day. Gus Malzahn and his staff scored two four-stars on Wednesday, as Mark-Antony Richards and Charles Moore have each committed to Auburn. After losing a commitment from five-star wide receiver George Pickens, the Tigers picked up a pledge from four-star defensive end Charles Moore — the nation’s No. 69 overall recruit in the 2019 class: #NationalSigningDayhttps://t.co/2fTmQvrRCA pic.twitter.com/bzendv42QY— AL.com...

2019 4-stars Devonta Lee, Jay Ward commit to LSU

The Tigers capped off a solid class with a big National Signing Day An already very good Class of 2019 for the LSU Tigers got even better on National Signing Day, when four-star WR Devonta Lee and four-star CB Jay Ward. Lee, from Amite, LA, was the first of the two to announce. He was between LSU, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Auburn, and Penn State, and chose the in-state Tigers. Lee is a great talent on both sides of the ball, and played both ways in high school (as you can see in his Hudl video below) but it seems like he’ll be playing wide receiver alongside his best friend and fellow LSU...

But with a spot open, the Tigers gave him a call and convinced him to change his mind late in the process. Ward is a 6-1, 175-pound prospect, who also considered Florida State and Texas A&M in the process.
