From Chronicle Staff Writer Susan Slusser at AT&T; Park A’s starter A.J. Griffin pitched extremely well most of the day at AT&T; Park, while Giants starter Barry Zito had a mediocre outing. The A’s, though, couldn’t take advantage of the half dozen walks Zito issued, so when the Giants finally broke through against Griffin in the sixth, they went ahead for good in an eventual 5-2 victory. Oakland’s winning streak ended at six games, and the Giants avoided becoming the first team ever to be swept in the season series between the Bay Area clubs.
