DALLAS – Monta Ellis did not practice Saturday due to a bruised thigh. It’d be surprising if the injury affects Ellis’ status for Sunday night’s home game against the Brooklyn Nets. Ellis, who led the Mavs with 26 points and seven assists in Friday’s win over the Denver Nuggets, is the only Dallas player who played in every game this season. He played despite a strained hamstring on the three-game road trip before the All-Star break and battled through an illness earlier this week.
