Panthers excited for prospect Aleksi Heponiemi's next step playing in Finland's Liiga

When the Florida Panthers selected forward Aleksi Heponiemi with the No. 40 pick in last year’s draft, he was an undersized Finnish forward with garish numbers. A year later, the numbers are a bit flashier, his size is similar, but Heponiemi’s career is entering a transition. The 5-foot-10, 141-pound...

So then the Florida Panthers select, with the 15th overall pick in the 2018 Hockey Wilderness NHL Mock Draft, Grigori Denisenko, Left Wing, from Loko...

The Panthers, who carry plenty of depth at centre, made him a healthy scratch on several occasions in the middle of a heated playoff race. Dubas spoke highly of McCann in this 2014 interview with Rhys Jessop of Canucks Army, and while I will post a few quotes throughout this article, I highly recommend this piece to every Leafs fan. Florida originally acquired McCann...

Did Vegas Steal the Panthers’ Cup Run?

Of all the egregious errors that allowed the Vegas Golden Knights to reach the Stanley Cup Final, Dale Tallon’s blunder firmly stand out among the rest. In a move that’s been roasted since the expansion draft, Tallon gave the Golden Knights two-thirds of a top line in Reilly Smith and Jonathan Marchessault. Just in case […] The post Did Vegas Steal the Panthers’ Cup Run? appeared first on The Hockey Writers.
