Miami Dolphins training camp is coming to an end

The Miami Dolphins 2018 edition of training camp came to a close today. There are still many questions surrounding the Dolphins roster and how it will suss out. Thus far the offense has been dominated by the defense. Pre-snap penalties and false starts continually haunt the Dolphins offense. Eventually the offensive players will need to be held accountable for these mistakes. Offensive line coach Jeremiah Washburn had right tackle Ja’Waun James run a lap around the field after committing a pre-snap penalty during Monday’s practice. My personal feeling is that much more needs to be done...

Quick Observations From Training Camp: 8/15/18

The Bucs and Titans went head-to-head during joint practices today 1) The Bucs’ defensive line continues to improve After a decent showing against the Dolphins, the Bucs were able to get pressure on Marcus Mariota during final 11-on-11 drills. Some major pressure off the edge – it looked to be Jason Pierre-Paul – was the primary takedown, followed by a great blitz up the middle by Kwon Alexander. There were moments where the defense was too aggressive and undisciplined, which was evidenced by a few offside calls against the Bucs. Those mistakes can be corrected. The physical play...

DeVante Parker breaks finger during Dolphins training camp

The injuries continue to mount for wide receiver DeVante Parker, who has not been able to shake the bug throughout his Miami Dolphins career. Selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Parker has the potential to be a great wide receiver at the NFL level, but leg issues, particularly hamstring and groin problems, seem to set him back every season. He has also played with broken ribs. Add to that list now a hand problem. Parker broke his middle finger, according to the Palm Beach Post’s Joe Schad. The team and Parker are hopeful that he will be available for the season opener on...

The Miami Dolphins are closing in on the end of their 2018 training camp, shifting gears toward a practice schedule similar to what they will use throughout the rest of the season. Dolphins stock up - stock down versus Buccaneers

The Miami Dolphins lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday, dropping their opening preseason game of the season. While the game does not mean anything in terms of wins and losses in the regular season or playoff positioning, it does mean a lot to the players on the field, either in terms of getting ready for the regular season or putting performances on tape that will make the coaching staff consider a roster spot for the player. Cordrea Tankersley, Tony Lippett, and Torry McTyer have all taken reps with the first team opposite Xavien Howard throughout training camp.
