Offseason Thoughts

Photo by David Purdy/ A few thoughts on LSU’s scheduled opponents for 2020. Now that we’re through signing day and most of the major coaching changes, some of the 2020 picture is starting to shape up. Bill Connelly has his SP+ projections out as well as his returning production list as well. The latter list is not particularly kind to LSU — it is losing a Heisman Trophy quarterback, a 1,200-yard rusher and some 200 catches. But it paints a very interesting picture of the Tigers’ 2020 schedule. And with everything going on...you know, covering LSU in the College Football Playoff...

National Signing Day Classic™ Roundup

Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports Tigers land three new players...and maybe a fourth? LSU wrapped up National Signing Day Classic™ with three new members of the class in running back Kevontre Bradford, defensive back Dwight McGlothern and receiver Alex Adams. That threesome brings the Tigers to 22 total signees for the 2020 recruiting cycle, giving Ed Orgeron three spots up against the 25 letters of intent limit. They can either use those spots on additional players, either late high school signees, or transfer players. Of course, one of the big fish still available, as of press time, is...

Dwight McGlothern Signs with LSU

SB Nation Recruiting Four-star corner inks with DBU. Four-star cornerback Dwight McGlothern made it official today, signing his National Letter of Intent to join DBU. He’s a composite four-star cornerback out of Spring, Texas, who committed to the Tigers at the U.S. Army All-American Game at the beginning of the year. He had a pair of interceptions, one returned for a touchdown, in that game. McGlothern started off 2019 as a five-star prospect, but saw his ratings drop over the course of the year. He eventually chose LSU over USC and Arkansas.

Kevontre Bradford Signs With LSU

SB Nation Recruiting Flickr Tigers have their running back for the 2020 cycle. Ed Orgeron closed on his running back for the 2020 cycle today with four-star Texas prospect Kevontre Bradford inking with the Tigers. The 5-11, 193-pound prospect is a composite four-star player and the 13th-rated back in the country. Not bad after the roller coaster that was the Zach Evans recruitment. Bradford considered Ohio State and Wisconsin, but shifted his attention to LSU after the early signing period. He visited the weekend of January 25th and committed that Sunday.

Tigers Add Two More 2020 Commits

Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports Latest additions give the Tigers 24 players for 2020 class Following a big recruiting weekend, LSU added two more players for the class of 2020 with the commitments of running back Kevontre Bradford and wide receiver Alex Adams. Bradford, a four-star composite player according to 247, held offers from Ohio State, Florida State, Texas, USC and others. This was a pretty significant commitment as the Tigers did not have any other running back committed, and appear to have soured on uncommitted five-star Zachary Evans. Also this weekend, LSU received a verbal...
