2019 Red Sox top prospect voting: It begins

Starting a new top 20 list for the upcoming season Welcome back to another year of top prospect voting here at OTM. If you’re new to the community, leading up to every season we as a community put together a top-20 prospects list for the team, starting at the top and going down one by one until we fill in twenty names. Daily Red Sox Links: Mookie Betts, Pedro Martinez, Beat LA

In today’s links, an extension for Mookie Betts isn’t guaranteed and Pedro Martinez and other Red Sox are getting ready for the Super Bowl. This is only, like, 30 percent joke, too. Do not be surprised to read these words again this week. Obviously, I’m talking about the Red Sox bullpen, which is the only topic of conversation around this team since, oh, the first week of December after they brought back Nathan Eovaldi. In a way, it’s not such a bad...

Red Sox in discussions with Shawn Kelley, among others

Red Sox in discussions with Shawn Kelley, among others

Other teams are always talking with the righty We’ve been waiting for something, anything, about the Red Sox in free agency pursuing help in the bullpen. We all have different opinions about who or at least what kind of reliever they should be targeting, but the list of potential targets has been shrinking by the day. One by one, the top couple of tiers of the reliever market has dwindled to the point where only Craig Kimbrel remains, and the Red Sox remain steadfast that they are not going to spend that much money on a closer. If not him, then who? We may have a better idea now....
