The season that was: Aledmys Diaz

The season that was: Aledmys Diaz

A look at Aledmys’ 2018 season The Blue Jays picked up Aledmys Diaz in trade from the Cardinals, for J.B. Woodman, back on December 1 of last year. We were pretty happy with the trade. At the time I said: There isn’t much to say beyond I like the deal. He won’t give us the defense that Goins did, but he should, at least, be reasonable with the bat. Blue Jays: Barring a trade, don’t expect any free agents hitters this winter

While the Blue Jays are expected to look at the pitching market this winter, I don’t think they’ll be very active in adding to their lineup, if at all. Over the last couple of seasons, September baseball really hasn’t been all that enjoyable in Toronto. After having been treated to back to back postseason appearances […] Blue Jays: Barring a trade, don’t expect any free agents hitters this winter - Jays Journal - Jays Journal - A Toronto Blue Jays Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and More

Blue Jays manager search down to final five?

Blue Jays manager search down to final five?

There hasn’t been all that much for rumors about the Blue Jays search for a new manager. The odd one , like Chris Woodward, said that they weren’t interviewed, but, for the most part, the team has been able to keep things quiet. Shi Davidi tells us that the Jays are down to their final five. Shi tells us four of the five are: Joe Espada who is bench coach for the Astros. It seems like coaches for winning teams are always the popular choices. You can understand why. The Astros seem to be the role model for what teams are trying to do now. David Bell, Giants farm director. Bell is...
