Let’s talk about Gritty

Let’s talk about Gritty

Whether he’s being an internet icon, playing in the snow, or receiving write-in votes in elections, Gritty’s popularity continues to grow Wild fans, don’t get me wrong, I love Nordy, but he is nothing compared to Gritty, the league’s newest mascot. I don’t know what it is, but Gritty has it, and he just continues to win people over. Never mind the fact that he is arguably the most terrifying mascot you’ll ever see. Don’t believe me, just look at this amazing (but not long enough) Twitter thread of Gritty photoshopped into stock photos. Try and tell me that you aren’t worried...

3 Things: Wild back to winning ways

3 Things: Wild back to winning ways

Now that’s a much better performance tonight than what happened on Tuesday against Washington. The Wild put on a show for the fans in mostly orange hats at the Xcel Energy Center Thursday night. Here’s 3 things to take away from the big 6-2 win. Thing 1: The giving season has begun With the holidays right around the corner, Richard Bachman gave Mikko Koivu an early gift. However, that 1 game, was a big one early on this season to say the least. Game 13: vs Milwaukee As mentioned above, Wednesday night’s game at home against the Admirals was a big one as it featured the two best of the Central Division. However,...

Wilderness Walk: Mikko Appreciation

Wilderness Walk: Mikko Appreciation

Minnesota beat Vancouver handily, Karill Kaprizov update, Belpedio and Menell playing well in Iowa, Core 4 Under 24 Rankings, Nylander buzz, and much more. Happy Friyay Wild Fans! The Wild routed the Vancouver Canucks last night in a 6-2 win, with all goals coming from different players. Captain Mikko Koivu led the way with a three point night, potting a goal and adding two assists. Minnesota improved to a 12-5-2 record and look to take down Jack Eichel and Co. next. The Wild host the Sabres on Saturday. The game starts at an odd time, so don’t be fooled, the puck drops at 5 pm CST....
