Wallmark Signs Two-Year Deal with Canes

The Swedish center was one of the most productive AHL skaters last season. The Carolina Hurricanes announced on Thursday that they’ve agreed to terms with forward Lucas Wallmark on a new deal that would keep him with the team for the next two years. The deal will give Wallmark $650,000 at the NHL level (or $70,000 at AHL) level in the 2018-19 season, including a $100,000 guarantee. In 2019-20, the contract will be a one-way deal that will be worth $700,000 in either league. Wallmark has played in 19 NHL games over the last two seasons with Carolina, including 11 in 2017-2018.
