He joins manager Joe Maddon’s staff as the first base and outfield coach, a role he last served in Anaheim in 1991. There were a variety of roles for Hines in between, including minor league manager, minor league coach, minor league instructor, and scout for the Angels from 1984-90 and 1994-2008.
