Saturday Spring Training Game thread

Saturday Spring Training Game thread

And so a week has passed It sure feels like more than a week has passed, hasn’t it? Specifically, I spent a lot of time noticing guys who hadn’t yet played, like Jordan Lyles who finally pitched on Thursday and Hunter Renfroe who still hasn’t played the field, but was the starting Designated Hitter on Friday. It felt like they hadn’t played in forever and their chances for breaking with the club on Opening Day were in jeopardy. But, in the end, it was only a week. I stand by my roster predictions, though. Where’s Hunter? A week of Spring Training games have been played and some things that haven’t happened may matter more than some things that have It’s been a whole week of Spring Training. By the time you’re reading this, it’s March and Opening Day happens later this month. Eight-time All-Star Salvador Perez will be behind the plate most days. The outfield will likely feature Hunter Renfroe in right, Kyle Isbel in center, and MJ Melendez and Nelson Velázquez splitting time between left and DH. Bobby Witt Jr. will anchor the infield at short with Maikel Garcia at third and Vinnie Pasquantino returning at first. Michael Massey has perhaps the most chance of losing his gig,...

Royals Rumblings - News for March 1, 2024

I got 5 images when I put in “Probably Sucking”, my new motto for the 2024 Royals. This is my favorite image | Photo by CHOO YOUN-KONG/AFP via I hope everyone survived Leap Day If you didn’t see yesterday, a former Royal passed away: Hector Ortiz, who spent the past 18 years as a manager and coach in the Texas Rangers organization, has died after a long cancer battle.https://t.co/afRrJpmeEP— FOX Sports: MLB (@MLBONFOX) February 28, 2024 We already talked a little bit in the comments about Brady Singer’s new pitches yesterday (I blame OMD), but Anne...
