Initial Impressions: LSU 24, Arkansas 17

Woo, pig... ugly. Like most LSU-Arkansas games, it was an ugly affair. LSU slowly trudged out of the gate, never quite seeming to find their rhythm. Arkansas, on the other hand, was even worse. The Hogs punted on the first six drives, only breaking the streak by ending a drive with a turnover. LSU found that rhythm by going back to their truest selves: by running the ball over and over again. With 12:48 left in the second quarter, the LSU offense took over possession at its own 23 and proceeded to hammer the same nail repeatedly. POSTGAME: #23 LSU 97, UNC Greensboro 91

Tigers win ninth straight contest in the PMAC It got a little closer than it probably needed to be at the end there, but the #23 LSU Tigers are 2-0 to start the season after a 97-91 victory over UNC Greensboro. The Tigers were kept in check by an incredible performance from the arc by the Spartans, but Naz Reid and fantastic free throw shooting would eventually prove LSU victorious. LSU took a 49-36 lead to halftime, perhaps thinking the Spartans would continue cooling off from the field. UNC Greensboro led for about ten minutes in the first half before LSU reclaimed the lead and never...
