Awards week continues on Wednesday with the Cy Young award announcement for the American and National League. There is some intrigue to this award given the number of solid pitching performances we saw during the 2018 season. Finalists in the National League are Mets right-handed Jacob deGrom, the Phillies Aaron Nola and the Nationals’ Max Scherzer. DeGrom is the favorite but we will have to wait until tonight to find out if he actually wins. When the Atlanta Braves acquired Adam Duvall from the Cincinnati Reds at the Trade Deadline, they hoped that he would be able to provide some right-handed punch to their lineup, or at least their bench. Acuna and the MLB All-Stars get off to a good start in Japan The Japan All-Star series got underway early this morning in Tokyo with the MLB All-Stars defeating the Yomiuri Giants 9-6.
